This was in Jaisalmer, late last year. This place is one the most beautiful I have ever been to.

The sand dunes are around 40 miles from Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer itself is a nice little town with the magnificent golden fort providing a  backdrop.A must see place.

I saw this post .. and before the pic got loaded, I knew what pic was coming up .. ! You can give a title to this pic I guess 'Self realization in Jaisalmer' :P

Have had plans of visiting N.India for a long time now. Doesnt seem to be happening any time soon. Have been fascinated about Rajasthan for one. If ever I manage a trip, first it will be Rajasthan, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer ... the works. :)

You should try and go there before you head out for the US of A. Jaisalmer is easily one of the best places I have ever been to.
